As per McDonald’s International
policy in supporting and helping the children of the world,
McDonald’s announced along with UNICEF on June 16th 2002
their cooperation to raise special funds for the benefit of
the children vthroughout more than 30,000 McDonald’s restaurants
in 119 countries around the world. Set date for celebrating
the World Children’s Day to be on 20th November, coinciding
with the first World Children Right Conference in 1989.
McDonald’s
owners in Jordan welcomed this humane decision as it falls
within their community role and the return of benefit will
be to the needy children. And this was the start of celebrating
the WCD in Jordan.
