Our Community

We are Reza Food Services Co. Ltd the Licensee of McDonald’s KSA in Western and Southern Regions

McDonald’s KSA Western and Southern Regions prides itself on being a local member of the community and has been committed to being a responsible corporate citizen since the first restaurant opened in Jeddah, KSA.

We are making our restaurants more modern and inviting places, where everyone is welcome. We’re championing healthier and happier kids. And, we’re helping those in need by raising funds for local charities.

We are making progress around preserving the environment by using less energy and reducing our carbon footprint, by recycling more, and by turning our cooking oil into bio-diesel.

Community involvement is undoubtedly an essential and key constituent of our philosophy that we adhere to. No efforts or resources are spared in our community involvement and social responsibility.

Our community activities in KSA are either through sponsorship and strategic alliances or through our own campaigns and initiatives. They primarily revolve around supporting our compatriots through the following:

Blood Campaign in Makkah

McDonald’s sponsored the first blood donation drive for Public Security Police and Wazefati Center for Training in Makkah at Al Jorshi mall. The three day event saw McDonalds hand-out free T- Shirts and ‘Be Our Guest’ cards to all the donators including the polices officers who assisted with organizing the event. The aim of the blood donation drive was for those who had car accidents and less supplied hospitals in the city.

Hospital Visits

McDonalds visited all the children’s wards for malignant tumors, Paralyzed, Foundling, and brought cheers and smiles to the children by distributing gifts and toys. Hamburgler and Birdie joined the McDonald’s team to spend some fun time with the children.

Special Days

McDonald’s aims to put a smile on the faces of children with special needs by organizing special activity days for them. By working with charity organizations and hospitals, such as Al Mahrat Center and King Abdul Aziz Medical City, McDonald’s has established a long record of organizing such special days.

3-on-3 Basketball Tournament

In its second consecutive year, Reza Food Services Co. Ltd., exclusive McDonald’s franchisee for the Western Region of Saudi Arabia, in partnership with Tokyo Games, The tournament took place in Jeddah in the Sheraton Hotel basketball court and brought together a huge number of fans to support their teams in an exciting two day tournament. The tournament brought forward many talented players and it was great to see them engage in friendly competition. Spreading awareness about an active and balanced lifestyle is part of McDonald’s global philosophy, either through local community events or sponsorships of global sports events . Commenting on the charitable initiative at this year’s tournament Previously, we announced that we will donate 10 Saudi Riyals for every point recorded in the tournament to a charity  named Friends of Jeddah Parks Association. This initiative really encouraged the players to excel and score more, as the more they did the more the charity benefitted”. Based on points scored by the players, organizer announced a total of 10,000 Saudi Riyals will be donated by McDonald’s and Tokyo Games to the Friends of Jeddah Parks organization. The amount was doubled to 20,000 by the two companies as a bonus initiative announced at the closing ceremony of the tournament.

McDonald’s supports the Olympic/World Cup athletes by promoting fitness and dynamism. McDonald’s has been organizing the McDonald’s Olympic Day Run for the past 8 years; an annual free race which attracts thousands of runners and children of all ages every year.

McDonald’s Open Door for Schools

McDonald’s Open Door for Schools, is an entertaining and educational program opens to schools where students visit McDonald’s restaurants and learn about safety and quality. The visit is complimented with fun activities for children that include face painting, balloons, free happy meals and certificates.

The First Saudi Recruitment Fair in Abha

McDonald participated in the First Saudi Recruitment Fair in Abha, under the sponsorship of the Ministry of Labor, which was a great opportunity to meet and talk to the best calibers, especially Saudi Nationals. McDonald’s is proud for having more than 600 Saudi employees in the restaurants.

McDonald’s participated in the Graduate and Employment Program along with the General Administration Institute in the Eastern and Central Regions. McDonald’s offered fresh graduates career opportunities in the company at a special stand during the exhibition.

Family Time Forever Campaign 

McDonald’s Jeddah conducted a whole day of fun games, challenging competition and educational activities participated by Families held simultaneously at two of the Flagship branches in Jeddah last 28th of October 2013. The activity kicked off at exactly 10AM winded up until 8PM. There were more than 130 Families of different nationalities with over 300 kids came over and enjoyed the activity.
